Yanmar 30hp Electronic Throttle

Hey guys,
I was just wondering if somebody knows if it's possible to fit an electronic throttle on a Yanmar 30hp Saildrive engine. I know it's possible on the more advanced, higher class Yanmar diesels, but I haven't found anything about the lower classes.

Regards
Merlin

Because I'm still in the planning phase for a Fusion40 and I'd like to have it electronically - no special reason for it, just taste.

There are several after-market electric controls for engines. We have them on Siesta. They are a solution to the problem of having two engines and two helm positions.
You must weigh the convenience against the difficulties that would arise in an electrical system failure. We carry a large AGM motorcycle battery that could have a number of uses in an emergency, from powering a radio, a GPS, or a waterpump.

Yeah, well after all it's a sailing boat, right? I guess that in an emergency situation, I'd have my sails left.

What brand do you use, or can you recommend a few?

It seams that Volvo's system only supports D3 and up systems, but not D1/2.

There's a QL ( Volvo aftermarket) electronic throttle system.
