Yanmar 4jh2e 1998

I changed the fuel filters the re core and the filter on the engine it ran for about 20 hours no problems I took it out this week and ran for one hour and then it shut down like a fuel issue I chiecked the fuel filter on the engine in it had pressure was full of fuel started it up it's started right up and ran it for 4 and a 1/2 hours and then it stopped again this time when I took the fuel filter off it was a little bit low I filled it up starting up and it ran 3/4 of an hour before I shut it down Do you have any insight into what the problem could be

What does "re core the filter on the engine" mean?" sounds to me like you have an air leak on a gasket in your fuel filters some where. When you removed the spin on filter on the engine, did the gasket on the filter stay on the filter? If you have the old gasket stuck on the engine, that can cause leaks.

Did you replace all the gaskets when you changed the filter in the racor? Make sure they don't twist. The little gasket that goes in the T-handle twists really easily and can let in air.
