Yanmar 4jh5e

Hello We have a Yanmar 4jh5e with 1600 hours on our sailboat. We just got back into the water after 20 months on the hard doing hull repairs. When we start and run the engine all is normal, but the alarm doesn't come on when press the power button to start or stop the engine. All trouble lights turn on at the start, turn off when running and come on after stopping the engine until we power off. We have checked the wiring and all looks good. Any suggestions as to the cause?

Re: Yanmar 4jh5e

Not sure if you have the same or similar control panel to my 3JH4E, but when that happened to me it was because the buzzer on the control panel was faulty. Unfortunately the buzzer on the Yanmar board is integral to the board, so can't just be replaced. Because I was quoted a replacement cost of several hundred dollars, my solution was to purchase a piezo electric buzzer from Amazon for a couple of dollars and solder it to the contacts for the original buzzer.
