Yanmar control panel dead-trouble shooting hints?

Traced the harness from the key switch to the starter and found a failing 30amp relay that wasn’t on the Yanmar wiring diagram, the boat builder had added it independently.

Was the relay for a "second starter" button on the port side of the engine? I'm trying to trace a similar issue (intermittent issues starting with the button) and I suspect this might be the issue.
