Yanmar Coolant replacement

Hi there,

yes I googled and uses the search function: So far I know Mack Boring recommends for Yanmar Texaco Long Life Coolant, Havoline Extended Life, Dex-Cool Long or Prestone Extended Life Coolant. (http://ldmarineservice.com/files/yanmar_bulletins.pdf)

So far so good, the problem here in Grenada is I just get Starbrite Star*Cool or Shell Zone or Shell Rotella ELC. All of them claim to be safe for Aluminium and since I do not know what was used before I need to flush anyway.

Any recommendation with this limited choice? Many Thanks.

Re: Yanmar Coolant replacement

My factory authorized Yanmar dealer installed Rotella ELC in my new engine four years ago and I have used it since with no ill effects.
