Yanmar Fuel Rate

I have C35 panels with Yanmar 4JH110 engines on a catamaran.

Port side is showing 0.8 @ 1500 rpm, starboard is showing 3.1 @ 1500 rpm.

The difference between port and starboard engines for the same rpm is significant.... is it maybe that one panel is showing litres per hour whilst the other is showing gallons per hour ?

Regards
Arran.

That seems like a VERY good guess... the numbers certainly would agree within reason if the entire issue was as simple as gallons vs liters.

Remember, these are not actually measured values, but are calculated by the engines computer based on the operating conditions it sees. There is NO WAY these engines could be that far apart if the measurement system was the same.

Re: Yanmar Fuel Rate

We have the same engine..we have maretron fuel flow sensors at 1500 rpm the 0.8gph seems close. The other seems right for 2200 - 2500 rpm depending on load.
