Yanmar SD25 Propeller

I have twin yanmar 3YM30AE engines with SD25 saildrives on my 2017 Leopard 40. The saildrives are equipped with two bladed Volvo Penta propellers. It has been suggested that I can increase speed while motoring by upgrading from a two bladed propeller to a three bladed propeller. Is this correct? If so, what is the correct propeller to upgrade with?

In a recent crossing from the Bahamas to Florida we struggled to make 6.5 knots at 2800 rpm.


Based on research and a recommendation I reached out to FlexFold and received a quote for 16" x 13" three bladed folding props which I have indicated I would accept. However, due to the time difference between Florida and Denmark, the deal will not be finalized until Monday.
