Yanmar4JH3E Glow plugs?

Hi Friends,
Helping a fellow sailor trouble shoot his engine.
After a 12 hour sail on port tack the engine wouldn’t start
Milky oil, won’t crank, possible hydro lock
Tomorrow we were preparing to change oil and filters
and pull the injectors and crank the engine to blow out any
water in the cylinders.
Another boater on the same dock suggested pulling the
glow plugs instead of the injectors as an easier task.
I can’t find any references to glow plugs on this engine
anywhere. So are they on this engine and where would they be.
Cheers
Neil

So I take your answer to mean they are not

I agree - no glow plugs. The "pre-heat" is a heater coil on the air inlet, next to what would be the air filter.

And yes, best to do it ASAP. But the "milky oil" is troubling, as water may already have leaked into the oil.

If the oil is milky before you got it to start up after that Port tack then I suspect you already had water in your engine. What is the pedigree of this engine? How long has he had the boat?
