3M Scotch-Weld Composite Urethane Adhesive

Has anyone used 3M Scotch-Weld Composite Urethane Adhesive to attach studs or zip tie bases to fiberglass? It has pretty good reviews generally but I am not finding a lot of reviews or comments about people using this on boats. It is substantially less expensive that WeldMount but the materials I’ve read suggest it performs the same function. I’m curious if anyone has any experience.

Also, is anyone aware of other sources for studs similar to the WeldMount studs?

Thanks

Tom

MMA is what Weld Mount sells as their adhesive. I've used their fittings for years with 3M Scotch-weld's MMA products due to cost and availability.

I've used Devcon 22045 Plastic Welder with good success. It has the same smell as the weldmount adhesive, cures in about the same amount of time, and has never failed me with WeldMount tabs on fiberglass. It's available in most hardware stores and on Amazon for a fraction of WeldMount price.
