Adding copper oxychloride to antifoul paint?

Over the last 15+ years I have been using Altex No5 (soft ablative- copper) antifoul paint. It has always barely lasted 1 year, before fouling started with vengeance.
This year I want to try something else. eg Awlcraft csc , which is a harder paint, so I am told.
But I want to add some more copper to it.
Seeing copper oxychloride --> Cu2(OH)3Cl , is readily available in garden centers and is reasonably cheap.
Does anyone have any experience with this stuff. Good - Bad - quantity to add per liter??
The boat has a steel hull
Thanks in advance..
