Advice Needed

Hi I have just bought a 25ft Medusa and its getting a total refit. the ceiling in the cabin had a sort of white vinyl wallpaper like the old fashioned thick wallpaper coating it. Been really hard to get off but its a old boat. I was wondering what I could replace it with or am I better getting the same stuff and putting some new back on. If so does anyone know what it is called so I can order some more? Thanks Tilly

Have you considered fairing, sanding and painting it?

Thanks for reply. What is fairing? and yes I am going to paint it but I heard the it will just get condensation on it so needs to be lined with something.

Fairing is filling in the low parts, Over fiberglass it is usually done with an epoxy fairing compound....Bondo for boats basically. BTW, I find Bondo to be too hard and takes too long when sanding it flush.

Good point about the condensation unless you have a way to remove much of the humidity from the air.
