Allin Light Balsa - In Search of a US Source

The interior floor panels of our boat are constructed of Allin Light Balsa.

This is an end-grain balsa core pre-laminated to Okoume veneer faces on each side to make a rigid panel available in 4'x8' to 4'x10' panels.

All the end-grain balsa I can find in the US is flexible with scrim, for my use non-flexible flat panels would be preferred. The stuff has lasted twenty years on the boat but over time extra holes have been cut here and there and it's time for some replacement.

I've sent a query (in my very best French) off to the manufacturer, but anyone know of a source for this, or something similar, in the US?

there are certaintly people who could provide you the balsa - like : End Grain Balsa -- Specialized Balsa Wood, LLC

There used to be a lot of providers of prelaminate panels of the sort you are looking for, but for some reason they seem to have slowly disapeared (I guess not much money in it) - those left seem to specialize in more 'high tech' panels (like carbon skins).

It is not hard given the balsa and veneer to laminate up what you want (probably thats why ther eis not much profit in it).

Yeah, that's the problem I'm having, would love to have a factory do that laminating.

Found an Italian version as well, so it seems it is reasonably available in Europe. And both companies have the same products with a foam core, which could be of interest.
