Any Suggestions for Haul Out Boat Yard for 42'cat, 25'berth for DIY

Hello -

I'm looking up and down the SE USA waters for a facility that can haul out a 42 foot sailing cat, 25 ft wide into a boat yard where I can do maintenance work myself.

Does anyone know of a boatyard from Florida to South Carolina that offers such a location?

Thank you!

Cracker Boy in West Palm FL, tight squeeze.

Probably some yard in Thunderbolt, GA.

Check Jarrett Bay Boatworks Beaufort NC to see if DIY allowed. Oops, you said SC.

I don't know of DIY in Thunderbolt. That's big yacht country.

On the other side of Florida, Dockside Marine in Carrabelle is ideal.

Harbortown Marina in Fort Pierce, Florida. Very accommodating staff. You cannot live on your boat in the DIY yard at this marina, though.

I tend to believe that unless you have limitless time to travel, is best to look close to where you boat lies. I rather go to hurricane cove marina where I can either do my own work or hire locals - that is in the Miami river, than to take my sailboat from key Biscayne to Ft Lauderdale to go to Playboy marina.

Try Westland Marine in Titusville Florida. Reasonable rates clean washrooms and a great Ace hardware store down the road. They have a good selection of boating needs for a hardware storr

Check Scorpion Marine at Cape Canaveral. They hauled me and I'm 43'x25'. Very competent travel lift team and reasonable rates. You can do all your own work except sanding the bottom.

+1 for Harbortown. Had Bacchus out for a month last year. They did some work, I did some work and it couldn’t have worked out better.
