Autopilot

Seeking input on the best option for an autopilot (electric) for a 36', 12000# sailboat.

I recommend Alpha 3000... it does not take GPS input. But mine's going strong now 25yrs. and 50,000nm.

Yep , had two, One I removed and moved to 2 more boats! Great old school AP's.

Really impressed with the Raymarine Evolution autopilot, below deck model via a tiller arm. runs Straight as an arrow and has been bullet proof even in some nasty conditions.

Be wary of wheel pilots for boats this size, they're just too small for any serious sailing.
