I bought 3 gallons, two gray and one white so that I can lay down gray, then white then gray

I get mine from an International Paints dealer. Under $100 Canadian a gallon.
I think one of the yacht paint brands has a tar/epoxy paint at yacht prices.
Interlux used to market such a product, called VC-Tar. It was simpler to apply in a boatyard situation and back in 1987 I coated the bottom of my C&C 25 with it. The downside of coal tar epoxy is that it continues to dry and harden as the years go by. Ultimately, it begins to crack and check, say after 15 years or so, at which point you need to sand it off and replace it with a more modern type of coating. Go ahead, ask me how I know . . .

I have a bunch of unopened cans in the basement, guessing a dozen or so...

Re: Barnacle damage or zebra muscles?

Finally the weather has cooperated. Three added coats of inter protect 2000. On top of the 2 coats that already existed. Any damaged areas were sanded faired and sanded again. 2 coats of seahawk Monterey anti fouling (water based) very happy with the job I've done. Thanks for any and all help from the hive.

Off topic, but not politics:
Have you had good luck with the water based anti fouling? We had a brand available here in Canada, but I haven't seen it for sale lately, and haven't hear any feed back on any of the water based bottom paints

This will be my first time with ablative paint. Boat was purchased with VC17m on it. The reviews of this paint I used were very good. Will let you know as the season goes.
