Beneteau 323 Maintenance

[also under "Beneteau Family Tree"]

Dear Cruisers:

I am a "brand new" cruising sailor. I have sailed dinghies since I was 13, but I've always wanted to cruise a bit, and retirement has finally given my wife and I the freedom to jump in (if we don't go now, when would we?).

I just bought a used Beneteau 323 (2005). The boat has been berthed in Puerto Rico since new, and it will remain there. We had it surveyed before purchase, and it has been well maintained by a sailing school.

I need to find an owner's manual and parts list for the boat. I went to the Beneteau website and could only find a parts list for the Oceanis 323 Clipper. It looks like my boat, but it isn't - the parts list talks about 220V outlets, and my boat is a 110V. It's probably just the difference between European/British and American fittings, but the engine specs look a little different from the Coast Guard documents (21 vs. 18HP).

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Many Thanks!

Re: Beneteau 323 Maintenance

For a detailed parts list, you will need to contact a Bene dealer. They will generate a login for the bene parts website. Parts can be ordered from that dealer. If you have a hard to find part, they can research your hull number to get the build of materials that likely has much more detailed notes specific to your hull. Be advised that some parts must be sourced from France and can take a few weeks to come in.

The bene dealer can send you the manual for your boat.

For maintenance on engine and other serviceable parts such as wenches or engines, go to the manufacturer of that specific item.

Best of luck!

I've been looking for servicable wenches for the boat - any recommendations for sources?

Sorry, just couldn't help myself.
