Re: bilge compartments not connected

I don't know your boat and am by no means an expert but a dry bilge is not uncommon. I have 13 bilges on my 44'. One is designed as a dry bilge which contains terminal bars and bus blocks. If that one gets wet there is a leak somewhere. Maybe a port.
