Bilgekote as topside barrier coat?

Repainting the rather large and long outside of the gunnel. I happen to have a can of Bilgekote (white) that I was going to someday use for my engine compartment floor. I can't find any reviews or info about ifit is ok to use as a primer for topside. Opinions, please! (Even better, facts and experience and point of view!)

I does not appear to have been developed or tested for your intended use.
