Black Streaks

My factory-installed windows are now regularly streaking black down my topsides ... I've a catamaran, and wonder if I need to re-bed the windows or just get used to looking like a striped cat ...

Ideas welcome!

Are the window frames aluminum? I often see black streaks from aluminum. I think waxing the aluminum would help. Even if they are not aluminum, this might help getting the black streaks off: Star brite - Catalog - Product Detail
Of course you could leave the stripes and rename the boat Tabby.
