Blister repair

I have a 1979 hull that was made from polyester. Had the hull blasted and now time to repair the blister holes. Some much deeper than others. Should I use polyester which contains chopped strand or West System epoxy The hull is dry after sitting for a few years.

Re: Blister repair

There may still be water in the blisters; you'll find out when you grind/sand them down. Leave a rough surface for adhesion. Fiberglass cloth patches would be stronger, with single layers built up and considerably larger than the blisters themselves.

You have a lot of Saturdays reserved, right? Good luck with it.

Re: Blister repair

I'd use your favorite epoxy (West, or...) and follow tkeithlu...
