Close, but that 2000 km would actually be 2 Mm.

The Guinness Book Of Records says a yard of ale is 2.5 imperial pints
An imperial pint is 20 imperial fluid ounces.

So there are 50* ounces to the yard.

* YMMV depending on the type of ounce, pint and yard you are talking about - you don't get that problem with SI units, there's only one definition of each unit

I seem to remember that moustache width is measured in pints.

And drag strips in Australia are 1/4 mile long.

And Sprint Cars and Speedway bikes run anti-clockwise.
But New Zealand side cars run clockwise.

Go figure

I certainly hope so. I've been recommending them to friends, it was time to put my money where my mouth was.

Should be switching it all on in about four days. Had a bit of a setback with the poured foam...

From what I have seen and heard you won't be disappointed

There is a definite difference between the drunken factor between SAE and Imperial pints and yards.

Re: Boat refrigeration insulation gotcha for Australians (and maybe some others)

I used Aerogel/Cryogel - very thin layers but extremely effective insulator interspersed with aluminium foil layers and inserted on the inside of my freezer compartment - couldn't access the outside without dismantling the galley which was not acceptable. Best to use - 3 layers on outside wall to hull which in mine is curved, 1 or 2 layers on base, 2 or 3 layers on back wall to aft lazaretto, and 1 to 2 layers on front to galley. Then had thin fibreglass interior panels made and glued and sealed in situ. Couldn't get into the top hinged lid, so attached a thick removable section of yoga mat. Also added additional seal strips all way around top of box and lid. Made a HUGE difference. Bought the Aerogel/Cryogel as a rolled sheet on line from the U.S. [I was in West Indies at the time & had it shipped]. Much more efficient and thinner insulation than any other.
Good luck.

But New Zealand side cars run clockwise.

Go figure Or go figure 8, that makes for equal arrangement of turn direction and interesting interchanges.
I have found it quite enjoyable to drive "my" correct way [anticlockwise] around a round about when I visit the UK, Australia or New Zealand, yelling loudly to oncoming traffic, "Make a hole, American driving through!"

Once scared my British clients to near death during one short drive in busy London; funny thing, they now opt to take the wheel whenever I visit, even though I regularly offer to drive.

Have you noticed that in the movies and on TV the stage coach, wagon and buggy drivers always sit on the proper side but in automobiles the driver sits on the wrong side. Must have been a hell of a mess during the transition period of horse drawn to engine driven vehicles.

Drivers swapped sides, but that didn't change which side of the road they drove on

More than you ever wanted to know about driving position vis-a-vis which side of the road to drive on:

With all due respect for your research on the subject, which I'm certain is excellent, I am still inclined to the opinion that it was the imp of the perverse on the part of the automobile drivers.
