Re: Boat Schools

Cooper, there is also a wooden boat building program offered in Franklin, Tasmania. That area is a hotbed of wooden boat building/restoring/sailing, and the nearby Wooden Boat festival in Hobart is a bi-annual event that is gaining world wide acclaim. Whole area is crawling with enthusiasts, so lots of fun for those interested. It is also one of the world's great cruising grounds (in the summer!).

Cheers,

Jim

Re: Boat Schools

Cooper, here is an article in the current Seaworthy magazine of BoatUS. It is about what to look for in a boat repair yard, but a section of the article is about the shortage of qualified marine techs in a variety of fields. Thought you might find it of interest.
