Boatlife Aquapoxy ??

I have some water coming thru cabintop for some time and am convinced I have areas of wet core. As I am not going to cut glass to get at plywood I would like to try a Bandaid approach to effect a reasonable repair.

Has any of the members ever tried Boat Life Aquaepoxy for this type of issue and if so what was the result?

Re: Boatlife Aquapoxy ??

I have not used it. I have read the instructions and can comment thus:

Pushing a liquid in at one hole, and filling the void to the next hole, assumes that there is nothing in the way between the two but water. If what you have got is soggy core, it will be in the way. I doubt that there is an effective route other than cutting out the fiberglass layer on the underside of the soggy area, removing the soggy core, filling the area with board or foam, and patching the fiberglass back in place. It could be done from the top as well, but you'll have a seam where you cut.

This is a common problem, addressed in various posts. There does not seem to be an easy way out. Good luck with it.

Thank you for your thoughts. I kind of feel the same way regarding epoxy.
And have decided to give injectadeck a shot.
