boatyard near miami i can "work-aboard"

This is my first post and first of many questions I suspect i will be asking now that I have acquired my first boat!!!! ( after months lurking I might add, lol)

The boat I have picked up is a 1972 36' center cockpit gulfstar, it is in good shape structure wise but i will be redoing the inside and rigging, is there a good place near miami that will allow me to work on it and stay on it on the weekends I can do the work with out charging a arm and a leg? a friend had mentioned "cracker boy" are there any others?

Regards

I think you will have better luck in the Ft. Lauderdale area instead of Miami.
