Re: Bottom Paint Storage

Depending on the paint I’ve placed cellophane wrap on the paint surface to reduce any drying

Yup. I have a hose I slide in a partially open lid.
Argon is heavier than air, 25% heavier if memory serves, so it basically maintains an inert gas on the surface of the paint/varnish/glue.

Re: Bottom Paint Storage

Hi, just out of curiosity, where are you buying you ABC3? I'm out in Vancouver and ABC3 is difficult to find and the only supplier I know who caries it said that it will soon be no longer available and went on to mention something about some of the chemicals being banned in Canada.

Unfortunately I can't find it here anymore either. They used to be sold by Dulux commercial stores. I bought 3 gallons 2 years ago and I had one gallon left over, which I used this year. Its pretty hard yo find here, first it was the logistical excuse, now is the chemical in it.
These are made for ships, apparently now they only sell in 5 gallon pales. They don't really care about the yoties.
In any case, I am still looking, and will buy 5 gallons in the US when I find it.
