I used Butyl Mastic from Boat Owners Warehouse in Ft. Laud. to seal around my chain plates. It solved a long term problem once and for all.

Great stuff and could be removed easily when necessary.

I don't know if they still have it or not - it came in a roll about 3/4 inch wide. More than I could have used in a lifetime on the boat.
