Hello,
Thanks for posting the link to that catalogue. I have emailed them and asked if they can ship to Turkey. (Hope so)

I will have another look around at the two shops that sell this kind of stuff.

thanks.
David.

A Cutting die for this would be about $ 50 (that includes someones profit to make it)

Divide that by the number it can cut - approx 10,000 and you have a pretty small cost. The rubber - maybe 50 cents worth.

Yer - it's real hard to see how they can make any profit at $ 38 ,
I think I'll send a $100 and say "keep the change"
There you go! Why not make a die yourself and go into competition with them. You could sell your knockoffs on eBay for $37 each and make a killing.

Then with the obscene profits you could by a new boat.

Aren't free market economies frustrating?

Yes - You can make this parts yourself by sourcing the materials, cutting it out and so on. Let's say it takes 3 hours of labour. I know at my labor rates I'll have way more than $38 bucks in it.

I got a piece of truck inner tube from a local tyre repair man for nothing and have made my Jabsco "knock off".

So far its working well !

I think that I wont go into full time production though ! Although it didn't take much time ... I prefer sailing the boat than cutting up rubber.

Still - better than paying 38 PLUS 19 shipping = $ 57.

Heres my production photos

Sorry - forum wont take them now (:
I'll try to upload them tomorrow.
