Centek Fiberglass Exhaust Fittings

I pulled my 2" exhaust hose over the weekend. After inspection of the stainless transom exhaust fitting, I found it to be unacceptably pitted and showing crevice corrosion. When I looked for a replacement this morning, Centek makes one in fiberglass with a changeable rubber flapper valve available in 2" for a reverse transom. Any negative thoughts on fiberglass vs. stainless steel? Comments are greatly appreciated.

I assume the hull is fiberglass, and yet seems to hold up OK?
Long as you have water running through the exhaust, glass ought to last pretty much forever. Glass won't be as pretty if that is a consideration.

My concern is that it will be more damage prone than the SS. Does this make sense? The reason I am considering the fitting is that I haven't found a 2" SS for a reverse transom. Any thoughts?
