Cloudy Strataglas

As Strataglas ages, it slowly gets cloudy. A fellow cruiser recommended automotive headlight restorer. Anyone else have any experience with this?

Or Micromesh, used on airplane windshields.

But, those are treatments for scratches and tiny cracks (crazing). If the stratglas actually clouds internally, they won't help, because all these trreatments are very fine sandpaper. If you are looking at crazing, yes, they work. Mircomesh I suspect will take out deeper cracks than headlight renewer.

Re: Cloudy Strataglas

I agree that there is no hope for restoring internal clouding from UV damage. Surface damage you can polish out. I've had fair results with the Novus three part plastic polishing system, and it is inexpensive.

Unless your Strataglas has been abused clouding is probably a combination of surface and internal so approach it with reasonable expectations.
