Columbia 28 fairlead

On the 1968 Columbia 28 is the fairlead fastened with bolts only that thread into the fibreglass or are nuts and washers required?

Re: Columbia 28 fairlead

As Newhaul says, if you are talking genoa track, through bolt it with fender washers as backing plates. If you are mean plastic fairleads that just change the direction of a line, they will usually do just fine with just self tapping screws and they are lightly loaded. If you using a fairlead in place of block for a sheet anchoring point, through bolt it.
