Companionway Instrument Support Base Refit

Hi all, did anyone refit their sailing instruments (wind, depth, etc) above their companionway in a premade pod (Navpod?) or self built pod/support?

Any info or photos would be of great value!

THanks...

Re: Companionway Instrument Support Base Refit

Had my instruments located there and did not like it, light of the instruments was very distractive for night vision.

Good point... certain instruments can get dimmed down quite a bit though, others have red digits.

I am planning the same. I had my compass located above the companionway on my previous boat and it is the best location for me. On passages, under self steering or autopilot, you can check the data easily. I am also avoiding cutting holes in the bulkhead for them.
Things to consider: the way it is attached to the boat, the dodger and how to route the wires.
