companionway steps hardware

I am missing the lower hardware from the companionway steps so all the weight tends to focus on the top C brackets as the feet slip out a bit during use.
It appears the original hardware had a piece of stainless angle with a dowel pin that fit in the female hardware inset in the flooring. One on each foot.
I searched the internet but unable to find anything. There are obviously several ways to proceed but I like to keep things as original as I can.
Any help appreciated.

Re: companionway steps hardware

Might be best to, put the question to a Pearson 34 Owner's Forum?
