Compressor replacement in reefer system

I have a Grunert open belt reefer system (separate belt drive compressor and motor) that is overdue for a replacement. Aside from the huge power drain (21amps) the Tecumseh compressor has not been manufactured since the 80’s. It still works fine-but for how long? With no parts availbility, I am literally on thin ice. I’d like to replace it with a Danfoss 750. Any suggestions?
