Condensation

Hi, I’m a new member and I have many questions and am open to all advise.
1st. Advise please on how to mitigate condensation from a 2 door top loading fridge with a large cold plate. Powered by a 120 volt compressor that is salt water cooled.
The foam was old and moldy so we replaced it with some new stuff we bought at homedepot. There is sweat inside and an inch out side the edge of the lid .
Any advise is appreciated

Re: Condensation

It sounds like you have an air leak into and out of your fridge. Check your seals integrity or perhaps add some foam seals if none already exist.

Re: Condensation

Hi thank you for the suggestions re: seals.
Do you mean just around the lids or the complete unit? How complicated would it be to remove and reseal . I’m sure it needs it as this is a 1972 vintage Morgan Out Island 42’

Re: Condensation

Ideally no air would move through the unit. That is difficult to make happen though. I would do all I could to seal the area around where you see condensation now, then move to other areas if needed.
