Creating a walk thru tran

I have an older Pearson 424 , love the boat but would like a walk thru transom anyone ever done this, any advice no gen in the back sette very open

With a quick look at the layout, it looks like major surgery. It would appear to include building a swim platform, relocating the after stay, cutting away a very wide transom, framing and filling the passageway through the transom, and building a door.

It might be easier, if you have relatively agile crew, to build the swim platform and then facilitate their getting over the transom, with stanchions, rails, steps, and non-skid surfaces.

Massive amount of work, massive amount of expense, all of which will make the boat worth LESS (not more), come the day you want to sell it. The more rational thing to do would be to sell it, and buy yourself a boat that has the configuration that you want.
