curtain track gliders for aluminum channel

wondering if any of you have ever made any curtains using the gliders or tabs.
I am looking for a cheap source for the M-3512 glider

perhaps 30 cents from Curtain Fair - RF May RV Marine Aircraft Drapery Hardware

perhaps 10 cents from RF May Co, RV, Marine, Aircraft Drapery Hardware Systems. Murfreesboro, Tennessee, but maybe has a high minimum order number

Also any source plus prices for sew on tabs that would fit the channel.

Try Sailrite, they have several tracks and sew on tabs.

Re: curtain track gliders for aluminum channel

lets say you want to buy 200 gliders. Times 30 cents is $60.
To me that is a lot for a tiny plastic piece
The 10 cent price was from this post here
The Elusive Catalina Curtain Glides original equipment found - SailboatOwners.com
Which will be ok, If I can get that and dont have to buy 500 gliders.

I found these items are in the UK very prevalent.
Silent Gliss loop
Silent Gliss Loop Tape Gliders

Silent gliss loop top tape @ £1.90 per meter. is what you can use to put the gliders where you want on the curtains, or you can make your own tape.

Silent gliss curtain tracking from j&s
Silent Gliss gliders for loop tape @ £2.50 pack of 25 or G-Rail @ £2.20 pack of 25
how do pounds compare to dollars?

Re: curtain track gliders for aluminum channel

Sailrite has a sewn on tab tape. The tabs are 4 inches apart.
In my application, the loop gliders are about 2 to 2.5 inches apart and a 1/2 inch pleat is sewn into the curtain top.
I guess I might need individual tabs then.

If you want really cheep, you can always sew small sections of line in the hem of the curtain and use tubing you have cut open length-way to use as the track. (like the track on a RF sail.)
