Does anyone know this nonskid?

Our boat is an Amazon 49 built in Surrey, Canada in 1988. This is a photo of the nonskid used on the companionway ladder.

I believe this nonskid was also applied to the deck, but there are so many coats of paint on it that it's hard to be sure. It is a rubbery material attached to the deck with some type of super adhesive that is still holding tight.

Does anyone know what the Canadians were using back in 1987-1988?

Thanks!

Steve

Re: Does anyone know this nonskid?

I seem to remember that Vetus had a nonskid with a similar pattern.

Re: Does anyone know this nonskid?

NOT seadeck. That is a soft foam product, nice to stand on but not going to last 20 years.

I'll put out a second vote for the Vetus material. Discontinued last I saw...

Yes, it looks like the Treadmaster I once had on another vessel in the past, but mine had a diamond pattern…

In case this helps.

Cheers! Bill

One that was used often in our area was Loncoin, it's in the galley and head on my boat.

All of the Treadmaster that I have seen was diamond pattern, also. Does Treadmaster make a coin pattern like I have?

Re: Does anyone know this nonskid?

Gibco has been an OEM supplier of non skid moulds for ever. I’m not sure but they absorbed two other companies in the process. Boats they have a library of models years brands. The boats they were oem on they have some panels otherwise it’s just sheets. I think public transportation like street cars and subways is huge but the original company came out of boating with Hatteras
