Door Handles for Grand Soleil 46.3

I had so much luck on my hinges on my previous post that I figured I would put some pictures of my doorhandles for my Grand Soleil here and see if anybody can find a match or close match.

Again I have searched far and wide for handles, but none of them look anything like this. These are solid, not hollow, heavy.

The actual lock mechanism which I don't need is about 134mm x 16mm on the edge of the door, and the hole for the handle is approximately 40 mm.

Old hardware like this is a challenge. Sometimes it is just not made anymore.

Have you tried contacting the shipyard in Italy where these were built? The might have records of who they bought them from. Although such basic business practices seem atypical of the industry...

I must say any locksmith worth talking to can help. It looks like Baldwin or similar. Anyway it’s a grand mortise locks and the handle is called an “Egg”

I don’t know where you are but these guys have all your lock parts. They are one of north America’s leading mortise lock experts. They sell exotic doors to go with them. It’s rare very high quality hardware likely jewellers brass by the looks
I knew their Dad really well.
