East Coast Riggers?

We will need to completely rerig the Discovery 67, a big job. I would know where to do it on this side of the pond, but the Disco is presently in U.S. waters. I don't want to wait until we get her to Europe as we will have a tough high Northern Atlantic crossing to get there. Don't want to do that on iffy standing rigging.

Can anyone recommend a really good rigger somewhere on the East Coast? Charleston, Jacksonville, Annapolis, etc. would be fine as we will be taking the boat gradually up the coast over the summer.

Cushion me soft . . . . rock me in billowy drowse,
Dash me with amorous wet . . . . I can repay you."

If you're in the Annapolis area I'd recommend Annapolis Rigging - call (or email) Jay. If they're too busy (and they often are), my second choice would be The Rigging Company.

Newport Rigging Group in Portsmouth, RI, can do any standing rigging from carbon to rod to swaged wire.

Re: East Coast Riggers?

Jacksonville has several riggers in or around town.
Call the West Marine store in downtown J'ville and they can recommend several.

In Deltaville, VA, Bay Area Rigging. Keith Horn did a nice job re-rigging our boat and is great to work with.

Florida Rigging & Hydraulics in Riviera Beach Fl.

Sailing Services in Miami.

I've not had a re-rig from them, but both supplied parts to me and did quotes, were helpful and recommended by others.

There are a few up in Newport I could look up, but you probably won't need them.
