Nope, it's a " one-component, UV resistant, highly elastic, moisture curing polyurethane waterproof membrane."

Interesting though... I mean fibreglass water tanks used to be the norm on boats, at least in Oz. I assume they would have been polyester, maybe vinylester in some cases. And generally, epoxy seems less "reactive" than either of those.

I wonder if we are all getting more paranoid, or smarter, with our current, more cautions approaches to this stuff.

Re: Epoxy over two part polyurethane foam

My "school bus" used to be the teacher a 4WD truck driving 50 miles across the paddocks all the kids piling into the open bed..

Somebody's fencing broke we all helped chase the stock down, takes too long no school that day.

Kids all out free-ranging for days at a time, nobody worried.

7 years old birthday got my own 22, hunting dinner (rabbits) on my own for hours.

Yes, life was cheaper then, why you had more kids, in case you lost a couple.

Don’t know if it is nostalgia speaking, but somehow that all seemed like we had a lot more fun as kids then than the current generation.

Yes, I firmly believe trying to shield kids from risk is a tragic trend, not just for "childhood fun" but the quality of the resulting adults.

Being a good parent requires being willing to risk their getting traumatized, maimed even killed.

Keeping them in a cushioned bubble is the height of selfish irresponsibility.

I wholeheartedly agree.

However, watching my son make his first solo flight at the age of fifteen did kinda test my resolve to be a good parent and let him take risks.

Yep, that's one of the hard parts of being a parent, but there's no healthy way to avoid it.

Re: Epoxy over two part polyurethane foam

Back on topic, for anyone who finds this thread because they had the same question I had, the epoxy over the two part foam is working very nicely so far. No weird behaviour and the stuff didn’t dissolve as I feared it might.

I used Acrylic polyurethane to paint the fridge interior. Make sure the poly cures properly, there is no bad taste or smell.
U also can get a food grade poly paint.I used it for my steel water tanks...no problem at all.
