Euro water heaters

Does anyone have experience with euro and American marine water heaters?

I ran into a few threads looking at American water heaters. Going over the issues with them. Isotherm seems the better. Good insulation and stainless tanks. Most of the other ones have glass lined tanks and don't have a mixer valve. They essentially said the US is behind the rest of the world with regard to marine water heaters. The Iso therm is approximately $1000

I'm running into a space issue and found a few euro water heaters that will fit better. They have a copper tank, which is resistant to bacterial growth and heat exchange. Foam insulation is good for 24h heat retention. They have an integrated mixer valve. All appears that they are better. Surecal, and hotpot brand calorifier's are ~$600. I'm sure there is a decent shipping cost and long ship time.

Has anyone looked into this? Has anyone experienced both? Are these decent high quality units? Am I looking in the wrong direction here?

Thank you

Re: Euro water heaters

I have a “Quick nautic “ water heater on my boat, tidy and compact, 220v ac and also plumbed into the engine. It was newly installed when I bought the boat and works very well but won’t do a 24 hour holdover. Overnight is about the best I get in winter........but it is in the unheated machinery space. Boat is in Port st Louis du Rhône France.
