Ever dry coating keeps water and oil from sticking

I am of course thinking bottom paint usage!
Water and oil are repelled.

Any thoughts, it is undergoing testing as a marine coating according to their web site

This has been discussed ad naseum on this and other forums. The manufacturer makes no mention of the use of the product as an anti fouling coating. I suspect this is because the product is unsuitable for that use.

Re: Ever dry coating keeps water and oil from sticking

Ok I called them. Product has only been available since Nov 2012.
Right now not recommended for something continually underwater as the treated surface may need to be recharged with air. She did say they have it on a steel plate been underwater for 30 days and it is still working as designed.

Also sometime this summer, Rustoleum will be marketing it to retail consumers.

So maybe when it is available to ordinary buyers, someone will test it for a boat bottom.

I think it could be a remarkable use if it did work on the bottom and only way to tell is to test.

I am more interested in seeing if it will work well with canvas, stanchions, maybe applied on the deck within an inch of through deck fittings, the anchor locker, bilge, the gypsy, stuff like that.
