exhaust system

I have a Lord Nelson 35 sailboat, Yanmar 3HM35F engine, the first "muffler water separator" we took out cut it in half and it was all shot, bought a Vetus to replace it and the exhaust did not go out the hole...further back there is another muffler water separator where the water is also mixed from the water heater...impossible to get at, on back of the steering quadrant.....any ideas?
Apprciate all help.

Re: exhaust system

Well you got two options.

1. Redesign the exhaust system routing wherever you can with the access you have.

or

2. Make access e.g. remove engine or rudder system or whatever is stopping you now or cut an access panel.

There is always access but sometimes the amount of work to get it is greater than what one desires.
