Experienced Sailor/Surveyor in LA Area to Check Out a Boat for Me?

I have a boat that I'd like to purchase in the LA area. It's dirt-cheap (as in... dirt) but it's a decent rig and lots of new equipment (apparently, some of the fancy equipment is poorly installed). (Un)Fortunately, I have a budget to match.

My main concern is the rigging and structural integrity and seaworthiness of the boat. I'm prepared to rewire the boat if necessary, but need an expert opinion on the structural integrity and necessary repairs before she is seaworthy.

Is there anyone in the area who would do this for me? Licensed surveyor or not is fine, I don't have a lot of money and I'm not in the state right now (though I will be in a few weeks).

Wilmington here...know a good guy who surveyed our boat last year. I would give you his name now...but had a few beers... Oh...Contact Joe at Colonial Yacht landing..check Yellow pages dot com..they will give you the name of a good surveyor. Ask for Clyda at the front desk...she will help you as well.
