Fibreglass. How bad and how to fix?

Hi all, first time poster long time reader. I'm a rookie at boat ownership but the other day I found these 2 cracks under the floor. How bad is it and what can I do to fix? Please and thank you

Can you tell us something about your yacht! What design?

Under the floor - that's a start: on top of the rudder, on top of the keel?

Looks like cracked flow coat.

The underlying laminate may be fine.

Laminates are tolerant of flex, flow coat is not - especially when it's applied so thick.

Some context as per post#2 would be useful.

Crack out the flow coat with a putty knife to expose the underlying laminate give us a better look.

If sound and the source of flex is found to be acceptable recoat with some epoxy

Just looks like cracks in the flow coat. Don’t worry about it, Go Sailing!, you will soon have problems worth worrying about.

Re: Fibreglass. How bad and how to fix?

Those top picture look like they could be stringers, I would be more concerned as to why there is rust staining coming out the cracks. It does appear that it is simply the gel/flow or bilge paint cracking but I would look more into that top one. Also those appear to be some larger cracks, did it hit the dock or take a hard grounding lately? Under the stairs of the wheel house, would this be anywhere near you mizzenmast base? I wouldn’t be alarmed but I would look further into it before completely dismissing.

It's not near any masts its right in the middle of the boat. We havn't hit anything since we've owned it and I'm not aware of anything like that. Im going to get a paint scraper and do a bit of recon like what Rucksta said. I'll post more photos soon
