Re: Fixing cabin sole water damage

I tore the other section at the end of settee out too. It was a disgusting mess. I turned it into a tool chest drawer. With a hidden latch. It's one of the best projects I've done.

I stressed about the darker wall stain I couldn't get out. I bought veneer and was going to route it out and put a new layer but it's faded a lot since I varnished. No problem.

Status update: being involved in lots of other projects I went for quick and easy as an experiment. I set the weak floor hatch on end, poured west system into the two delam gaps (about a quarter of the board), clamped. A day later, and after a few days of use, it is a pleasure to stand on. Very firm, and at a minimal time cost. We'll see how long it holds.
