Flagship Marine A/C Units?

I am considering ordering and DIY installing two of the A/C units from Flagship marine for my Stevens 47, on 18.5K BTU unit and a 12K BTU unit.

Does anyone have any experience with these units or this company?

Any suggestions for other A/C units I should consider?

Terry,

I installed two of them about 5 years ago: a 16.5K BTU unit and a 12K BTU unit. They have been flawless, both in cooling in summer and heating in winter. I chose them partly because of the electric coil heating instead of the usual reverse cycle marine types (so, no moving parts except the fan), because of the quality of their build and the accessories which Flagship ships with them, and because both the USCG and the Canadian CG use them.

Very happy with them so far.

I have the 16.5K unit installed by the PO. Poor job of installing it caused it to underperform and frequently trip the internal breaker. I plan on reinstalling it properly.
The feedback from the company was good, the price fair. I would buy my next unit from them as well. But defender sells the Air Conditioning-Cool & Reverse Cycle Heat which on a sale is a good price... but I will stay with flagship.
You can hook up 2 units with one pump with a relay.
