Re: Gelcoat can be successfully applied over Epoxy repairs

Interesting read.
I just recorded my waterlogged balsa aft deck with epoxy and was planning to finish with white gel coat. A large flat area.
And I better off staying in thickened epoxy?...40 ft2

So will gelcoat reliably stick to 545? Does 545 create blush? Can you get a chemical bond with gelcoat on to fresh 545 or does it need to cure first?
