Gin pole pivot point question

Under the guidance of a fellow with a similar boat i have added holes and bolts to my mast tabernacle.
The tabernacle is aluminum. The bolts are stainless. The bolts are threaded to within 1/8 inch of the head. They are installed in threaded holes.

The gin pole will be 108 inches long. It will support a mast that weighs 75lbs at minimum.

I am worried about the durability of this design. Will the holes get worn out over time as i raise and lower the mast ?Click image for larger version

Re: Gin pole pivot point question

I don't think you'll have to worry about it. It would take a lot of heavy vibration with loose parts to egg the holes. Just be sure to tighten it when it's up so the mast doesn't try to lunge about under load.

Hi Tom, do you have any more pictures of the whole tabernacle setup?
