Glassing the entire deck?

Andy seems to be extremely knowledgeable. I love his videos, but this one kind of seems like overkill to me.

If these tiny cracks are only on the surface, wouldn't an epoxy deck paint fill them? Are these cracks a threat to the structural integrity of the deck?

It would seem to me that there is a better, less expensive, and less labor intensive way to correct this problem.

What say you?
